The TR152 is a single-function printer; it does not copy or scan. What it does offer, however, is a compact size that can be carried in a standard backpack. It comes with a rechargeable battery so you can print even when there’s no power outlet nearby. It has good photo print quality and color accuracy, and its cost per print is very good, especially for color and photo printing. Unfortunately, its page yield for black-only text documents is low, so you may end up replacing the black cartridge frequently. It doesn’t have a flatbed or sheet-fed scanner, so you can only use it for printing.
Like TR150 Driver, The Canon TR152 seems quite well built. You can easily access paper jams and ink cartridges by lifting the main top cover. The power cord and adapter are detachable, making it easy to transport the printer; however, since they are separate from the printer, you may forget to take them with you when you travel. The two LED lights on the cartridge tray indicate the status of each cartridge, and there is a battery level indicator on the battery, which plugs into the back of the printer. The top cover doubles as the input tray, which has a width slider to accommodate different sizes of paper. Unfortunately, the hinges are made of plastic and may not hold up over time.
