The unit measures 43 x 30 x 14 cm when the last digit is closed, the height increases by 22 cm when the paper input tray is raised and the paper is inserted. The depth (middle number) increases to 20 cm if you fully extend the output tray, even if you don’t, you will need 20 cm in front of the unit for face-up output to be delivered. The paper is placed print side forward in the input tray. The USB cable enters from the right while the power cable enters from the left. The only visible control is the on/off switch on the front right of the paper output tray. However, if you look closely, there is a paper feed button (gray on gray) if you ever have a paper jam. Also on the bottom edge is a Pict Bridge socket that allows you to print directly from a suitable camera.
“update-star” The downside to all of this is that Canon is the second slowest printer of all when printing documents, churning out pages at just 7.4ppm in draft mode and 2.9ppm in normal mode. I know if you measure a sheet it’s not 30x20cm, but the software slightly compresses the longer side and slightly enlarges the shorter side, believe me, you can’t tell the difference unless you’re looking at a real 15x10cm image of the same subject one side by side. For those who demand total precision, they can print 15 x 10 cm images on this size of paper. However, since A4 photo paper does not cost four times as much as the same number of 15 x 10 cm sheets, it is cheaper. You can then trim the images or, if they are similar subjects, leave the A4 sheet untouched.
