The large expandable paper tray, high-capacity toner cartridges, and above-average speed make it ideal for high-volume printing. However, for anything other than a small, paper-heavy desk, the HL-L8360CDWT will certainly be over the top. The HL-L8360CDW has a high initial cost. However, once this investment is made, the use of HL-L8360CDWT toner is very economical. If you’re not printing in the massive quantities the HL-L8360CDWT is designed for, it’s probably best to go for a printer that costs less up front, even though the ink costs are higher.

It also gave us a great troubleshooting platform for those rare cases where we had trouble getting the HL-L8360CDWT to communicate with one of our wireless devices. The HL-L8360CDWT also has all the features you would expect from a high-end printer, with the ability to print directly from a USB drive and optional USB and Ethernet connectivity. Overall, this user experience is very similar to the other high-end models we tested, namely the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw and its sister, the M254dw. Basically, if you’re willing to spend more on a printer with an intuitive touchscreen, you’ll probably have less trouble than printers with small LCD screens and a few buttons.
